How the Radar is built
The Radar answers one commercial question: which Hampton Roads digital-infrastructure activity is worth a vendor's qualification time this week? Everything below exists to make that answer checkable.
Implemented sources
- Virginia Beach commercial building-permit application feed, filtered for digital-infrastructure, power, telecom, server, fiber, and cooling signals.
- SAM.gov active Virginia opportunities, filtered for fiber, telecom, data-center, low-voltage, generator, and power terms.
- FCC and PJM watch pages, retained as monitor sources for future structured extraction.
Evidence and confidence
- Every public signal carries its public source link. Confidence labels reflect how directly the source supports the reading.
- No project value, power capacity, tenant, construction date, buyer, or opportunity is invented. Absence is reported as absence.
Update cadence
Updated weekly on Tuesdays. Free and paid tiers are generated from the same scheduled edition, so both always describe the same Weekly Intelligence Brief. Each free report is dated, archived, and left unchanged.
Public/paid boundary
Public pages carry a sanitized projection: broad summaries with sources. Paid-grade detail — ranking, vendor relevance, exact site detail, buyer matching, and action guidance — stays in the paid report, enforced by an automated fail-closed check before anything publishes.
Limitations, honestly
- Some watch sources require manual interpretation until stable structured records are added.
- Signals extracted from public notice text can be incomplete; verify against original documents before committing resources.
- Reports are commercial screening intelligence — not legal, procurement, financial, or investment advice.
